In recent years, studies have shown that sitting down for prolonged periods of time is one of the leading causes of many of the physical maladies we are facing in the Western world.
Great right? Something that we have to do for work is killing us.
In fact they have shown that even 2 hours of intense exercise each day cannot undo the damage that prolonged sitting does to your body!
But all hope is not lost.

Invest in a Standing Desk
If you are an entrepreneur or CEO, this should be pretty straightforward since you have more control over your environment, however, if you are working in the corporate world, you may have to negotiate with your boss to get their approval.
Most corporations will approve of your request if you show them the studies linking standing desks to improved health and vitality with no apparent drop in performance.
Standing desks range in cost from $90 extensions for your current desk to several hundred dollar setups.
